A very good day to the honourable judges,
teachers and my fellow friends. Now, i would like to tell you a story entitled
“The Hidden Treasure”.
Once upon a time, there was a rich farmer. The
rich farmer had three sons. He was old but worked very hard in his farm
everyday. His sons did not help him.
One day,
the farmer told his wife sadly. “ all our three sons are lazy. They only
wat and sleep. They do not help me in the farm. I don’t know what they will do
after i die”.
Not long after, the old farmer became very
ill. He called his three sons around him.
“my sons, i want to tell u this before i die.
I have a big trasure hidden for you. It is in the farm. Go and find it and you
will be very rich.” He said.
Soon after this, the old farmer died.
The three sons went to the farm. They dug and
dug and looked for the treasure everywhere in the farm.
“we have been digging from morning till night.
We cannot find any gold or morning.” Said the eldest son.
The second son replied, “ we should go on
digging. There is still a lot of place in the farm to dig.”
The three sons went on digging. But there was
no treasure.
Then the youngest son said, “ the farm is
ready for planting. Let us grow some vegetables.” They bought some seeds. They
sowed the seeds and watered them everywhere. The seeds soon grew into green
vegetables. There were lots and lots of vegetables.
The eldest son told his brothers, “ now we
know what our father said. This is our treasure. If we sell the vegetables, we
will be rich.
The three sons were very happy. They were not
lazy anymore.
